Purchasing Add-ons

Add-ons extend Benecaster with additional features like the Migration Wizard and Email Editor. When you purchase an add-on, you’ll need to link it to a specific show on your account. Browse available add-ons at benecaster.com/add-ons/.

What You Need Before Purchasing

An active Benecaster plan (Launch, Starter, Growth, Pro, or Multi-Show)
Your site connected to your Benecaster account (see Connect Your Site)
Your Show UUID — find it in your WordPress admin at Benecaster → Settings → Show info. It looks like 550e8400-e29b-41d4-a716-446655440000 and has a Copy button next to it.

If your site isn’t connected yet, connect it first. The Show UUID is only available after your site has been connected.

Purchasing an Add-on

Go to the Benecaster add-ons page
Click Buy on the add-on you want
At checkout, you’ll see a Show UUID field — paste the UUID you copied from your WordPress admin
Complete checkout

Your add-on entitlement is provisioned within a few minutes of purchase. The next time your site checks in with Benecaster (usually within 24 hours), it will receive the updated add-on list and activate the new features automatically.

To activate immediately: In your WordPress admin, go to Benecaster → Settings and click Check License. This triggers an immediate sync.

Multiple Shows (Multi-Show License)

If you hold a Multi-Show license, you have multiple connected shows — each with its own Show UUID. You only need to enter one of your show UUIDs at checkout. The add-on entitlement applies at the license level, which means all shows under your license get access automatically.

It doesn’t matter which show’s UUID you enter — any connected show UUID under your Multi-Show license resolves to the same license.

Studio Plan

If you’re on the Studio plan, all add-ons are already included with your plan. You don’t need to purchase them individually — they’re automatically provisioned when you join Studio and when new add-ons are released.

If you see a “purchase” button on an add-on page while logged in as a Studio customer, you don’t need to click it. If you do proceed to checkout, you’ll see a message confirming that the add-on is already included with your plan.

Error: “Show UUID Is Not Valid for Your Account”

This error appears at checkout when the UUID you entered couldn’t be matched to an active show on your account.

Common causes:

Typo in the UUID — UUIDs are case-insensitive but must be exact. Re-copy from Benecaster → Settings → Show info and try again.
Site not connected — your site must be connected to your Benecaster account before purchasing add-ons. If you recently installed the plugin, make sure you’ve completed the Connect step.
Disconnected site — if you previously disconnected your site and haven’t reconnected it, there’s no active show UUID. Reconnect your site first.

If you’re still seeing the error after verifying the UUID and confirming your site is connected, contact support.

After Purchase

Your purchased add-on appears in the Ready to Install section at Benecaster → Settings → Add-ons. Click the card to install and activate it — no separate download or WordPress plugin upload needed.

Add-on entitlements are provisioned within a few minutes of purchase. If the add-on doesn’t appear in Ready to Install immediately, click Check License in Benecaster → Settings to trigger an immediate sync rather than waiting for the next automatic check-in (within 24 hours).

You can also download the plugin file directly from the Downloads section of your account on benecaster.com and install it via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin if you prefer.
