Available Blocks

Every block in the Blocks & Widgets Library, what it shows and the settings it offers. Each one is also an Elementor widget with the same settings, and each stands for one of Benecaster’s shortcodes — the block is a visual way to write it. See Blocks & Widgets Overview for how blocks choose a show and an episode.

Locked episodes. No block decides who can play what — Benecaster does, exactly as it does for the shortcodes. Where a block shows an episode a visitor cannot play, it shows Benecaster’s locked state, described under each block below. Blocks that do not mention one do not show episodes.

Episodes

Episode Player

Plays one episode. Leave Episode empty to always play your latest one.

  • Style: Standard, Minimal or Card. Show the episode title and Show the artwork on or off. On a video, the artwork shows before it plays.
  • Play: Audio (the default) or Video, for an episode that has both. An episode with only one file plays that one.
  • Locked: a visitor who cannot play the episode sees “Subscribe to access this episode.” instead of the player, or the preview clip’s audio where the episode has one. They never get the video. Your preview shows what you can play, so it may not show this.

Episode Card

The episode’s artwork, title and description, as a card. Leave Episode empty to always show your latest one. It has no player, so nothing on it is locked.

Latest Episodes

A list or grid of the show’s episodes, each with a player. An episode with only a video plays as video; one with both files plays its audio.

  • Tier: All tiers (the default) lists the show’s episodes. Choose a tier to list only the episodes it carries, plus your public ones — the same list for every visitor. Each still plays only for a visitor who can play it. Changing the show resets the tier.
  • How many, Skip the first (ignored while page links are on), Order by publish date or episode number, newest or oldest first.
  • Layout: List or Grid. Add previous and next page links.
  • List episodes the visitor cannot play: on by default — they appear with a teaser, marked Subscriber only, and no player. Turn it off to leave them out. Not used while a tier is chosen: the tier’s whole list is shown, and the episodes a visitor cannot play are marked Subscriber only.

Episode Navigation

Previous and next links between episodes. It uses the episode being viewed, so it belongs on episode pages; choose an episode to place it elsewhere.

  • Move through: the whole show, or this season only.
  • Style: Arrows, Text, or Arrows and text. Show episode titles. Previous label and Next label (default Previous and Next).

Other episodes like the one being viewed. Like Episode Navigation, it uses the episode being viewed unless you choose one.

  • Related by: shared tags, same season, same guest, or simply the latest episodes. How many, and Leave out the episode itself.
  • Layout: List, Grid or Cards, with an optional Heading.
  • Locked: episodes a visitor cannot play show a lock.

Episode Share

Buttons to share an episode. It uses the episode being viewed unless you choose one.

  • Choose which Buttons to show: X, Facebook, LinkedIn and copy-link.
  • Text for X is used when sharing to X only — Facebook and LinkedIn share the link alone, and the copy button copies the link.
  • Style: Buttons, Icons or Text links.

Subscribing and Supporting

Subscribe CTA

Your subscription tiers with a way to sign up. A signed-in paying subscriber sees their current plan instead.

  • Tiers to offer, Highlight a tier, and Style: Cards, List or Minimal.
  • On a show that takes payments through a membership plugin such as MemberPress, each tier shows the plugin’s price and a button to your signup page for it — see [benecaster_subscribe].

Pricing Table

Every tier side by side, with its price.

  • Tiers to include and Button text (default Subscribe).
  • Link the buttons to: your signup page. Each button adds the tier to that address. Leave it empty and the buttons are not links — the table is a comparison only.

RSS Feed URL Display

A signed-in subscriber’s own private feed address. Visitors who are not signed in, and people without a feed, see nothing.

  • Show it as: a box with a copy button, a link, or plain text. Label (default Your podcast feed URL).

QR Code

A QR code for slides, posters and merch, or for a subscriber to scan their own feed into a podcast app.

  • Target: Your show’s signup page (the default), or The subscriber’s own feed. With the feed, each signed-in subscriber sees a code for their own private feed address. Visitors and people without an active subscription see nothing, and so does your preview if you do not subscribe to the show yourself.
  • Send people to (signup page only): leave empty for your show’s subscribe page, or enter another page.
  • Size on the page in pixels. Show download buttons: SVG (for print at any size), PNG (1000 × 1000 pixels), or both. The preview draws the code, and its download buttons work there.

Listener Support

A way for listeners to support the show.

  • Style: Your show’s setting (the default) follows the show’s Listener Support settings, whether it takes card payments or links elsewhere. Inline form, Button and Icon are card payments through Stripe — on a show that takes support through a link instead, visitors see nothing with those.
  • Label (default Support the show) for the Stripe styles, and an Icon for the Icon style: heart, star, microphone, or an image from a web address.
  • Show: leave it on The show being viewed and it appears on show and episode pages only. Choose a show to use it anywhere — including on a one-show site.

Donor Wall

A list of people who have supported the show.

  • How many (per page, up to 100), Order: newest first, oldest first, largest first or random. Add previous and next page links.
  • Format: name, amount, date and note — or without the note. Show how much each person gave: turn it off to thank people by name only.
  • Donors who gave no name appear as Anonymous. Email addresses are never shown.

Numbers

Subscriber Count

Your live subscriber count, for social proof.

  • Tier (or any tier) and Count: paying subscribers, free subscribers, or everyone.
  • Number format: full (1,234) or compact (1.2K). Hide until the count reaches a number you choose (10 by default), so a new show does not advertise a small one. Text after the number, such as subscribers.

Show Stats

Your subscriber count and your episode count together.

  • Subscribers: on or off, with the same Count, Number format, Hide until and Text after settings as Subscriber Count (no tier).
  • Episodes: on or off, counting published episodes, with its own Text after the number.
  • At least one count is always on. Both numbers appear on their own unless you add text after them.

Links to the show’s social profiles.

  • Platforms: only those the show has a link for in its settings appear. Style: Buttons (the default), Icons or List, with an optional Heading.

“Listen on” links to the listening apps the show has a link for in its settings.

  • Listening apps: tick the apps to show. Every box ticked shows them all, including any the show has a link for under a name not in the list. RSS Feed is the last box and is the same setting as Include your RSS feed: changing either changes both. At least one box stays ticked. In Elementor, the list leaves out the feed, which follows the switch.
  • Include your RSS feed (on by default) adds a link to your show’s public feed, for apps that are not listed.
  • Style: Buttons, Icons or List.

A link to your show’s public feed.

  • Show it as: a link (the default), the RSS icon and a link, the RSS icon only, or the feed address as text. Changing it clears the settings the new choice does not use.
  • Link text (default Subscribe via RSS), for every choice except the feed address. With the icon only, it is what screen readers read out.
  • Icon size in pixels (12–96, default 24), for the two icon choices.
  • Apps that re-host audio, such as Spotify, do not use this address.
