Migrate from Supercast to Benecaster

In February 2026, Supercast was acquired by Red Seat Ventures — a division of Fox Corporation, one of the largest media conglomerates in the United States.
Fox Corporation owns Fox News, Fox Sports, Tubi, and a constellation of other media properties. It is not an independent creator tools company. Red Seat Ventures is described as a “premium audio and on-demand” operation — which makes sense if your goal is building a media distribution network on top of an existing independent podcast infrastructure.
We’re not here to tell you what to think about that. But if you chose Supercast specifically because you wanted your podcast to be independent of big media platforms, the platform you chose is now owned by one.
Your Audience Is Not Tied to Supercast.
Your subscriber list can be exported. Your subscribers are real people who signed up for your show — they are not locked into Supercast’s platform. Wherever you go, they can follow.
What changes when you move off Supercast:
- Your subscribers’ RSS feed URLs change — they’ll need to update their podcast apps
- Payment processing moves to your platform
- Show management moves to your WordPress site
What doesn’t change:
- The relationship with your audience
- Your episode library
- Your back catalog
How to Migrate from Supercast
Step 1: Export your subscriber list
Go to Account → Subscribers → Export in your Supercast dashboard. This gives you a CSV with your subscriber emails, names, and tier assignments.
Step 2: Get Benecaster set up
Install Benecaster on your WordPress site and connect it to your subscription plugin (MemberPress, WooCommerce Subscriptions, Paid Memberships Pro, or Restrict Content Pro). Set up subscription tiers to mirror your Supercast tiers.
If your audio is hosted outside Supercast (Buzzsprout, Libsyn, Transistor, Captivate, or similar), you’re ready to move. If your audio lives on Supercast-hosted storage, move it to an independent host first.
Step 3: Run the Migration Wizard
Upload your Supercast CSV to the Migration Wizard — it auto-detects the Supercast export format and pre-fills the tier-mapping screen for you. Confirm the mapping and the import runs in the background: user accounts created, private RSS feeds generated.
If you’re importing from a custom subscriber export or a different format, the wizard’s manual field mapper lets you assign your CSV columns to Benecaster fields before the import runs.
Step 4: Set your grace period and send the email sequence
Choose 30, 60, or 90 days. Every imported subscriber retains full feed access during this window — no gap in service while they complete payment setup on your site. The email sequence goes out automatically: a welcome email with their new feed URL on day 0, a mid-period reminder, and a final notice before the deadline.
Step 5: Track completion and close Supercast
The Migration Dashboard shows your entire funnel — imported, emailed, clicked, subscribed, dropped — in real time. When migration completion has plateaued and the grace period ends, close your Supercast account.
