Do subscribers on a free trial count toward my plan limit?

Yes. Free trial subscribers are on a paid tier — they have an active feed token and a first payment scheduled at the end of the trial. They count toward your plan’s paying subscriber limit.

A genuinely free membership level (no payment required at any point) is different: free-tier subscribers don’t count toward the paying subscriber limit, but they do hold an active token and count toward the total token cap. Free trial ≠ free tier.
