Why are my add-on and plan renewal dates different?
Because they can’t share a billing cycle. Recurring add-ons are annual-only, while your plan can be billed monthly or annually — so on a monthly plan there is no single date the two could share, and putting them on one subscription would mean either billing your add-on twelve times a year or your plan once.
Keeping them separate has a second benefit worth knowing about: a failed add-on renewal can’t affect your plan, and each can be cancelled or changed without touching the other.
Even on an annual plan the dates rarely match exactly. The add-on subscription is created after your plan payment clears, so the two start moments apart and can drift further over time.
There is no way to force them to align — each runs on an independent subscription with its own billing clock. If you cancel and resubscribe, both clocks reset from that point.
