How long does setup take?

For a podcaster who already has WordPress and a supported membership plugin, a straightforward setup — install the plugin, configure the bridge to your membership plugin, create your first episode — takes an hour or two. Setting up email templates, subscriber account pages, and tier mappings adds time but is not required to start.

Episode setup scales with your back catalog. If you’re switching from another podcast plugin, the setup wizard imports your existing episodes automatically. If you’re starting fresh or your episodes aren’t in a supported format, you’ll create them manually in Benecaster — plan for a meaningful time investment if you have a large archive. You don’t need to import everything before launch; most podcasters go live with recent episodes and backfill the rest over time.

If you’re migrating from Patreon or Supercast, the Migration Wizard automates the heavy lifting. A basic migration with a small subscriber list can be completed in an afternoon. A large migration with custom email sequences and a grace period takes longer to plan, not necessarily longer to run.
