Interview shows accumulate guests fast. After 50 episodes you might have 40 different guests — each one represented by a name field and a website URL on a single episode page. No profile. No headshot. No public archive showing all the episodes they appeared in. No way for a subscriber to click “Alice Smith” and see everything she’s been part of. And if Alice changes her job title or headshot, you’re updating 8 separate episode pages manually.
Guest Manager turns those scattered name fields into a proper guest system. Create a profile once — bio, photo, title, social links — and link it to every episode that guest appeared in. Their information shows up automatically in episode templates, their public archive page maintains itself, and updating the profile updates everywhere simultaneously.
Benecaster core still includes the basic name and website fields — Guest Manager adds the full CPT, profiles, and archive system on top.

The guest selector lives in the episode editor — search existing guests by name or create a new profile inline without leaving the editor. One guest, any number of episodes. Change their bio once and it updates across every appearance.
The {{episode_guests}} merge tag in Email Editor pulls from these links automatically — episode notification emails can include “Featuring Alice Smith and Bob Jones” without any extra steps.

Guest profiles and episode archives are just the foundation. Add Transcription Service and AI Search and that foundation becomes something more useful.
When diarization is active, transcripts know not just what was said — but who said it. Map those speaker labels to Guest Manager profiles and every word a guest has ever spoken across your entire back catalogue is attributed, indexed, and searchable. Subscribers can ask “what has Alice Smith said about leadership?” and get exact transcript moments back. You can search from the admin — “which episodes did we cover systems thinking with Bob Jones?” — without leaving the backend.
Guest Manager gives guests an identity. Transcription gives their words attribution. AI Search makes it findable.
