Add PayPal as a payment option alongside Stripe — for listener donations and subscriber billing.
For listeners who prefer PayPal.
Stripe is Benecaster’s default payment processor. For most podcasters, that’s all they need. PayPal Gateway adds PayPal as a full alternative for listeners who prefer it — no changes to your Stripe setup, no new payment processor to manage separately.
Listener Support donations
When this add-on is active, a PayPal button appears alongside Stripe on your Listener Support embed. Listeners choose whichever they prefer.
Subscriber billing
PayPal as a checkout option for recurring subscriber payments — same tier configuration, same billing portal, same subscriber experience. Listeners who pay through PayPal are managed identically to Stripe subscribers.
Note: PayPal’s subscription webhooks are less reliable than Stripe’s — documented as a known limitation. Stripe is strongly recommended as your primary processor. PayPal works best as an additional option for listeners who won’t use a card.
