Send migrated subscribers to your own landing page
A completion link opens the show’s own page by default, because that is where [benecaster_subscribe] usually lives. To have people arriving from Patreon read a different page first, point the filter at it. The page must still carry the shortcode, and the tier argument must survive — it is what lists the tier they used to pay for first.
Built-in membership only. On a show using MemberPress, WooCommerce Subscriptions, Paid Memberships Pro or Restrict Content Pro, $url is already that plugin’s signup page for the person’s level, and replacing it leaves them nowhere to pay. The example handles one show by ID, which is the simplest way to stay clear of that.
Code
<?php
add_filter(
'benecaster_migration_checkout_url',
function ( string $url, int $show_id, ?string $mapped_tier_slug ): string {
if ( 123 !== $show_id ) {
return $url;
}
// Keep the tier argument: it lists the tier they used to pay for first.
return add_query_arg(
'benecaster_migration_tier',
rawurlencode( (string) $mapped_tier_slug ),
home_url( '/welcome-back/' )
);
},
10,
3
);
