[benecaster_tier_name]

Outputs the display name of a tier, read live from wherever the show’s plans live: the plan name on Memberships → Tiers for a show using Benecaster’s built-in membership, or the membership plugin otherwise. Useful for embedding tier names in marketing copy without hardcoding strings that may change. Output filterable via benecaster_tier_name_output.

An unknown slug renders nothing, not the slug. A typo in the tier attribute printed on a public page is worse than a gap, so the shortcode stays silent. (Emails do the opposite and fall back to the slug, because a sentence with a hole in it is worse than a slug.)

Parameters

Name Type Default Required Description
show_id int — No ID of the show whose tier to look up. Optional: with no show_id, a show page uses that show, an episode page uses its show, and anywhere else a single-show site uses its only show. On a multi-show site, on a page that is neither, it renders an inline HTML comment error.
tier string — Yes Tier slug whose display name to output. Required.
