benecaster_reference_library_item_updated

Fires after a show’s reference library item changes its own label, URL or description. This is the shared library row, not one episode’s use of it: every episode citing the item now renders the new values, and benecaster_episode_references_updated does not fire for any of them. If you hold data keyed to the item (a redirect, a cached link check), this is where a destination change reaches you.

It does not fire when nothing changed. References are re-sent whole on every episode save, so the old and new values are compared first and every call is a real edit. All three places a library item can be edited reach it: the library editor in Show Settings, the references REST routes, and an edit made in the episode editor’s References tab.
