benecaster_migration_audio_hosting
Filters what the Migration Wizard’s pre-migration checklist is told about where a podcaster’s episode audio is served from: { verdict, hostName, checked, sampleUrl, reason, feedUrl }. verdict is on_platform (the audio is served by a platform rather than a podcast host, one on the benecaster_platform_audio_hosts list; it is not necessarily the platform being left, and that platform’s operator decides how long the links keep working), independent (already with a podcast host), unrecognised (enclosures found on a host the wizard does not know) or unknown (the feed could not be read). The keys are described on the Migration Wizard REST API page.
unknown and unrecognised both mean “we do not know”, and neither may become a pass. Overriding either to independent tells a podcaster their audio is safe on no evidence, and the failure lands on every subscriber they migrate: a feed that does not play, on day one, after the emails have gone.
Only the on_platform hosts (patreon.com, stream.mux.com) are certain. The list of recognised podcast hosts is deliberately short; use this filter to recognise a host you know, not to clear one you do not.
This is the only place the answer exists. A supporter export lists people and contains no episode or URL, so there is no detection from the CSV to fall back on.
The on_platform list is Benecaster’s own: the wizard seeds its run of benecaster_platform_audio_hosts from \Benecaster\Episode\ImportReviewQuery::PLATFORM_AUDIO_HOSTS and keeps no copy, so the wizard’s Check my feed and Benecaster’s import review always flag the same hosts. On a Benecaster version without that constant the seed is empty, and every feed then reads as unrecognised or unknown — never as safe.
